Being able to report an event and provide accurate location information is vital and through modern mobile devices this data is readily available. It also allows the authorities to utilize crowdsourcing in verifying user reports and estimating the extent of emergency incidents. Moreover, as many more communication methods are available to users nowadays, Next Generation emergency communications are expected to play a key role. This is also applicable to fast information dissemination.
